Piper is an accomplished instructor and choreographer with over a decade of experience, dedicated to training high-level dancers and creating award-winning choreography. Certified in both ADAPT and CDTA, she has an extensive background shaped by training with top programs and renowned teachers worldwide. Her own dance career includes high honors and training with industry legends such as Nappytabs, Blake McGrath, and Brian Friedman. Piper has performed on notable stages, from Broadway in NYC to Disney Land in California, and has appeared in music videos and national broadcasts, including TSN. She has been an influential figure in Nova Scotia's dance community, where she has led students to prestigious opportunities, such as scholarships to Quinte Ballet School and talent scout selections. founder and co-director of Mercy Dance Productions, Piper’s mission is to share her love of dance, fostering a foundation of strength and passion in the next generation, pushing dancers to excel both on stage and beyond.

Matthew Montgomery

Co-Director

With over 25 years in the dance industry, Matthew Montgomery is a seasoned choreographer, adjudicator, instructor, and mentor who has devoted his career to the art of dance. A graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University with a BFA in Dance Performance, Matthew has collaborated with celebrated Canadian choreographers and toured extensively across North America. His fifteen-plus years of teaching and choreography experience have paved the way for his students to excel in elite dance programs and professional companies worldwide. Matthew’s career highlights include performances with the Canadian Opera Company and collaborations with artists like Nick Jonas, Jason Derulo, johnny orlando, and Serena Ryder. Known for his innovative choreography, he has earned multiple "Best Choreography" awards and guided countless dancers to top placements. As co-director of Mercy Dance Productions, Matthew remains a dedicated advocate for the arts, believing deeply in the power of movement to inspire growth, joy, and artistry.
